LEGAL NATURE OF THE BRUSSELS AGREEMENT

SUMMARY

The issue of this paper is to analysis the first international agreement of principles governing the normalization of relations between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Provisional Institutions in Pristina, publicly known as the Brussels Agreement. The goal of this paper is to point out the inconsistency of the whole decision-making procedure of mentioned agreement, which gives rise for different interpretation of it s legal nature and at the same time to assess what kind of effects will have on the Serbian population. The author provides a critical review on the Brussels Agreement content. Reviewing on the harmonization with internal law, emphasising the control of constitutionality, the author analysis all the provisions of the Brussels Agreement.
