ТHE IMPORTANCE OF PERFORMANCE PHENOMENON IN PUBLIC SECTOR
Summary
In this paper, in the focus of author¢s analysis is the category of performance, emitted from all of public entities (agencies, organizations and institutions), performing their work in the public interest, and which is, accordingly, the subject of the allocation of budget funds. This is an interdisciplinary phenomenon which links the fields of interest of many scientific disciplines: public finence, public sector economics and management science. The intention of the author is that this paper serves as an initial illustration of a significant importance of performance phenomenon in public sector, as well as the need for intensive and supported information about performance in modern public budgeting systems.
