SUMARRY

MERCY KILLING AND ASSISTED SUICIDE – INSIGHT ON THE SOLUTIONS IN LAW IN COUNTRIES WHICH DECRIMINALIZED THEM

              The author in this work deals with solutions of questions about mercy killing and assisted suicide in criminal law of countries which are decriminalized theirs performance in the specific circumstances and under prepositions of fulfillment of statutory requirements. Globally, the issue of regulating euthanasia is basically solved in three ways, ranging from her completely prohibiting and equalizing with an ordinary murder, through its privileging as separate crime with lesser punishment, to the complete decriminalization of euthanasia. The author explains the recent legal solutions of the last, a few groups of lands, notably the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, as the first countries where is legalized deprivation of life and assisted suicide, and then the Switzerland, Oregon, Washington and Montana, which is not punishable assisted suicide, assuming fulfilled of the conditions set by law. On the end of work the author gives special attention to the legislation of Northern Australia, where it once appeared the first law that legalized euthanasia, but which was abolished after only few years from the beginning of his use.
